This was where it all started for me, after I left college in 1981 and returned to Norwich. Somehow I managed to wangle my way on stage and join in on a couple of numbers at a gig the VDs were playing at the Gala Ballroom (now Quasar in St. Stephens Road). I was so lucky to then join properly and although I wasn't with the band very long, I had many memorable experiences. These included my first studio recording for the Zombie/War Games single and the BBC Look East session shown on video below. You can follow the threads leading from the VDs to most of the other bands on this site. More from Record Collector.
